London, 15th August – Kanishka, a culinary destination renowned for its authentic Indian flavours, is thrilled to announce “Flavours of Unity: A Gastronomic Journey through India,” a momentous event celebrating the strong cultural ties between the United Kingdom and India. The event took place on India’s 77th Independence Day – 15th August, at 6:30 pm, hosted at the prestigious Kanishka venue in Mayfair 17-19 Maddox Street, W12S 2QH. This event commemorated all those who have played significant roles in enhancing the deep-rooted UK-India relationship.

Gastronomic Journey in Mayfair

The Deputy Mayor of London for Business, Mr. Rajesh Agrawal was the Guest of honour at this remarkable occasion to honour the celebration of unity and cultural exchange. Other Prominent Dignitaries such as Mrs. Gurinder Chadha OBE, Mrs. Pushpinder Chowdhry MBE, Ms. Bidisha Mamata and Ms. Bambi Bains were in attendance.

Kanishka’s skilled culinary team, led by the renowned Chef Atul Kochhar, curated a symphony of signature dishes representing the diverse and distinct flavours of India. Over a six course menu it’s attendees were taken on a gastronomic journey through the different regions of India. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared with a contemporary signature Kanishka twist, beautifully showcasing the cultural and culinary traditions that have influenced Indian cuisine over the centuries.

The event was addressed by the Guest of Honour, Mr. Rajesh Agrawal and Kanishka’s Chef patron, Mr. Atul Kochhar. A gastronomic journey through different regional dishes of India with a contemporary twist and interactive sessions highlighted the shared heritage and artistic expressions of both nations. Guests had the privilege of engaging in stimulating conversations with prominent personalities from the cultural, political, and business spheres, further enhancing cross-cultural understanding.
